LaunchPad Home Group is a high-growth organization operating a complex, data‑intensive HubSpot Enterprise environment that supports multiple business lines, brands and revenue attribution models.
As transaction volume increased and the organization expanded through acquisition, LaunchPad required a HubSpot solution that could extend native functionality while remaining scalable, auditable and operationally reliable over time.
GrowthPad was engaged to design and implement a technically rigorous solution architecture and automation framework that could support advanced attribution logic, structured data capture and dynamic ROI reporting without introducing brittle workarounds or ongoing manual maintenance.
The Challenge
LaunchPad’s existing HubSpot environment faced several structural challenges as the system scaled:
- Attribution accuracy depended heavily on association timing and manual updates
- Native roll‑up logic did not reliably recalculate when records were reassigned or corrected retroactively
- Inspection and site‑visit data required structured, multi‑record capture that native forms could not support
- Sponsorship revenue and ROI reporting relied on company‑based logic that frequently broke as underlying data evolved
As a result, reporting became increasingly unreliable, manual intervention increased and the risk of attribution drift grew alongside transaction volume.
LaunchPad needed a solution that could preserve historical accuracy, enforce consistent logic over time and ensure attribution and ROI remained correct even as records, associations and ownership changed.
The GrowthPad Approach
GrowthPad led the overall system design, solution architecture and automation strategy, collaborating with specialized technical delivery partner TRooInbound on select advanced development components to support complex custom object logic and attribution evaluation.
Rather than layering incremental fixes on top of HubSpot’s native limitations, the solution was engineered around three core technical initiatives designed to remain governed, extensible and resilient as LaunchPad’s business continued to evolve.
Project 1:
Object Resynchronization & Attribution Consistency
Overview
GrowthPad designed a resynchronization framework to address a fundamental challenge in complex HubSpot environments: maintaining accurate attribution when object associations change over time.
This framework acts as a state‑based enforcement layer, ensuring attribution data remains accurate even when records are reassigned, corrected or updated retroactively.
Technical Approach
The system evaluates association changes independently of creation order or timing, using authoritative business events (such as deal close dates) to determine the correct current state.
Rather than relying solely on native association behavior, the framework re‑evaluates historical records to ensure attribution logic reflects the true evolution of each record over time.
Key Logic
On reassociation, the framework recalculates:
- Initial attribution timing
- Most recent qualifying activity
- Re‑engagement and follow‑up windows
Updates occur only when a true state threshold is crossed, preserving valid historical data while preventing unnecessary automation churn. Explicit refresh logic ensures roll‑up values do not retain stale data following reassignment.
Outcome
LaunchPad gained audit‑safe attribution and reporting across complex reassignment scenarios without manual intervention or ongoing data maintenance.
Project 2:
Custom Forms & Structured Data Capture
Overview
GrowthPad implemented custom HubSpot forms capable of creating and associating CRM records in ways the native form builder cannot support, enabling clean, structured submissions within a single intake process.
What the Forms Do
The custom forms support advanced capabilities such as:
- Lookup fields referencing existing CRM records
- Dynamic field population based on selected values
- Expandable sections allowing multiple site visits to be captured within a single submission
How Data Is Stored
Each submission creates both visible and discrete custom object records and automatically associates them with relevant inspectors.
This approach ensures relational integrity without relying on unstructured notes or attachments, while maintaining consistency across downstream automation and reporting.
Impact
The result is reliable, normalized data capture that supports advanced automation, reporting and analysis - while significantly reducing user error and manual cleanup.
Project 3:
Revenue Attribution & Sponsorship ROI Automation
Overview
GrowthPad rebuilt LaunchPad’s sponsorship attribution model to support accurate, dynamic ROI reporting without relying on brittle company‑based logic or manual reconciliation.
Technical Execution
Attribution is determined by evaluating indirect object relationships rather than direct associations alone. Only qualifying records are included based on defined criteria, ensuring attribution remains accurate as records evolve over time.
Dynamic roll‑up calculations evaluate:
- Deal count and revenue across defined timeframes
- Cost aggregation across parent and child sponsorships
- Real‑time ROI as values, associations or dates change
Native merge behavior ensures associations remain intact as records are consolidated, preserving reporting continuity.
